- There's a lot of controversy this year as most IGCSEs (considered harder than
GCSEs and often adopted by independent schools) are not included in school results, as a result a lot of independent schools have now dropped to the bottom of the GCSE league tables. Read more here: Important information regarding independent schools' GCSE results and rankings.
schools don't measure Key Stage 2.
- Where results are filtered by gender, the rank displayed remains the rank amongst all schools, not just schools of that gender.
- I have seen schools in a different league table order on another site, why is that? Depending upon what measures you use for comparison in league tables the order of the schools will change. We have chosen average point score (APS) as a measure as it is very granular; e.g. while two schools may achieve the same overall results in the percentage achieving level 4+ in reading, writing and maths measure (a common comparison figure), APS may show that, on average, pupils in one school scored higher in tests than those in the other.
