The provision is good • Staff continue to strengthen their links with the host school and information about children's specific needs is exchanged regularly with the headteacher and teachers. This helps ensure the care, support and activities children experience at the club complement their experiences at school.

• Children of different ages are encouraged to show kindness towards each other and they develop highly effective friendships. Staff support older children to set a good example to the youngest children, which helps all children to play very happily together. • Self-evaluation is used well to help to identify the club's strengths and determine further plans to build on t...he positive improvements made since the last inspection.

• There are particularly meaningful opportunities for children to learn about various religious and cultural traditions and celebrations. They are encouraged to talk about different festivals and reflect positively on how these differ from their own experiences. It is not yet outstanding because: • Children are not always fully encouraged to take the lead in managing tasks for themselves.
