Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Children settle well in the club. They enjoy good relationships with staff and each other, and show that they feel secure. Staff organise the environment well and provide a good variety of enjoyable activities to meet the differing needs of the children attending the club. Children display high levels of independence. They confidently choose the toys with which they most want to play. Parents say they are extremely happy with the care of their children at the club. The staff readily engage with parents, which has a positive effect on children’s emotional well-being. Staff support children to engage in a range of activities that complements their school learning. They offer support to practise their counting skills, such as when children throw dice and play snakes and ladders with staff. There are effective discussions between staff and the host school about children’s individual needs to help support continuity in their care. It is not yet outstanding because: The management team is currently working to embed the self-evaluation process to identify areas of improvement as promptly as possible. Staff have not fully developed the range of outdoor play experiences for children to engage in throughout the whole year.
