Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • The club has a calm and busy feel and children spend sustained periods of time involved in activities and games that fully engage them. Staff provide a wide variety of activities that are adapted and moulded to the desires of the children attending the session.

• The club provides children with regular opportunities for fresh air and exercise. As they play outside, they catch balls and engage in running races. The club regularly accesses the neighbouring park where children make use of climbing equipment and swings, developing the large muscles in their bodies.

• Children behave well, are polite and consider each other's needs as they play. Staff ...are positive role models and quickly and consistently support children with occasional minor disagreements that arise. • Parents are positive about the club.

They comment on how their children enjoy attending and have good relationships with staff. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not consistently implement the system for collecting detailed information about children's abilities and interests. • Although the manager monitors staff's practice, this does not precisely identify how they can increase the quality of their practice to a higher level.
