This provision is good • Children thoroughly enjoy their time at the club. They help staff to plan activities and, as a result, they arrive keen to participate. They confidently help staff to evaluate what went well and what they would change next time.

• Staff have good relationships with parents and give them daily information about children's activities. Parents speak highly of the staff and the range of activities their children enjoy. • Children show they feel emotionally secure.

They have good relationships with staff, who support the younger children very well when they first start to attend the club, helping them to settle in quickly. Older children make sure the...y include younger children when they organise team games, such as football. • Overall, self-evaluation is effective and is used by the provider, the manager and staff to prioritise improvements that have a positive impact on children's experiences.

For example, staff and children are currently developing ideas to make the rarely used quiet room more appealing. • Sometimes, children need reminding, more than once, about expected standards of behaviour, such as not talking over each other and keeping noise levels down. • Management have not identified that some staff lack confidence in talking to other professionals about children's experiences, including teachers.
