Children demonstrate positive attitudes towar...ds their play and develop good skills in readiness for their next stages in play and learning.Children enjoy drawing pictures and show excellent concentration skills while completing board games. They giggle with delight while making sea-life creatures out of dough.

They enact roles of fairies, superheroes and shopkeepers. Children enjoy playing with dolls and cuddle them while taking them for a 'magical walk.' Children share toys and work together to complete puzzles.

They use magnetic letters to spell their names and cuddle into staff while looking at books. Children fascinate while playing with toy cars and talk about how some cars need electricity to work.

The manager wants the best play outcomes for children and strives for excellence. Self-evaluation is robust and includes the views of children, parents and staff.Staff teach children exceptionally well about the world that they live in.

Children learn about the ocean and pollution. They take part in activities, such as 'save the jungle' and learn about endangered animals and what they can do to help. Children relish these opportunities and learn how they can help to reduce their carbon footprint.

They take part in litter-picking sessions with staff and talk about the significance of recycling.A highly successful continuous professional development programme is in place for staff. The manager ensures that staff complete playwork training and they measure the impact this has on play outcomes for children.

They use recent training to set challenging physical activities for children outdoors. Children show excellent physical dexterity, as they develop new climbing skills on apparatus.Excellent support is in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Children cheer as they play basketball and show excellent determination while practising their balancing skills during an assault course.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Staff teach children very well about keeping themselves safe.

They cover topics on cyber-bullying and e-safety. Children talk to each other about computer programs that are safe to use and how important it is not to speak to strangers. Robust procedures are in place to ensure that all staff working with children are suitable to do so.

Risk assessments are effective, and all areas of the premises are safe and secure. The identification of visitors is checked, and good systems are in place for the safe use of mobile phones and cameras. Staff attend child protection training and know the local referral procedure.
