This provision is good • Children benefit from secure and trusting bonds with staff. They settle well and develop a good sense of belonging and self-worth.

Their behaviour is generally good. • Staff attend well to the needs of babies. Babies squeal happily and learn to explore resources safely.

• Staff know how children learn and develop through play. Children make good progress in relation to their individual starting points. They are well prepared for the next stages of their learning and development, including the move on to school.

• Staff provide a range of activities and resources to help children learn about their own cultures and the different people aro...und them. For example, they actively take part in festivals and try food from different countries. • Staff work closely with other early years providers and relevant professionals to ensure good continuity of learning and progression for all children.

• Leaders continually support and monitor staff performance to help ensure that they meet children's learning and development effectively. • Occasionally, some staff miss opportunities to further extend children's language and thinking to deepen their learning. • At times, staff do not organise some group activities well enough to help children remain fully interested in learning.
