Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • Managers have a strong understanding of the learning and development requirements. Coupled with their high-level qualifications, they help children to make good progress to meet their outcomes.

• The manager monitors children's development well. She identifies gaps in their learning and devises strategies to help improve these. For example, she has identified the need for children to learn more about technology and is liaising with the local school on how to keep them safe from online risks at home.

• Staff provide a good two-way flow of information with parents. For instance, they send 'activity packs' home to ensure consistency for children's de...velopment. • Children have developed strong attachments to staff, helping children to feel emotionally secure.

Staff are warm, friendly and nurturing, and they support children in developing good levels of independence and self-esteem. • Children's behaviour is good. They play cooperatively, taking turns and sharing well.

Staff help them understand their own feelings and those of others, supporting their social skills effectively. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not use the outdoor area for babies as effectively as they could, to help maximise their physical abilities. • Partnerships with other early years settings that children attend are not fully effective, to ensure consistency in children's learning and development.
