What is it like to attend this early years setting?

This provision meets requirements All children are excited to be at the club.

They are very settled, confident and happy. They instantly follow routines without prompts as they enter the club. They self-register as they come into the hall and engage in their choice of activity with high levels of independence.

Staff implement their well-thought-out plans and play opportunities well. They include the ideas from children and implement activities that they know will interest them. This helps children remain engaged in their play experiences.

For example, children explore art in different ways, such as making jewellery and using cotton buds to make do...ts in paint to create their own mandala art. Staff are positive role models. Children are polite and behave well and know what is expected of them.

Children are kind to each other. For instance, they tell each other 'Let's work as a team'. Children happily play together and compete in games with good levels of maturity, such as when participating in rounders.

Children develop a good understanding about the importance of healthy lifestyles. For instance, they talk about the importance of making healthy choices at mealtimes. Children have a wide range of physical play opportunities.

For example, they confidently negotiate space and explore different ways to move as they play games, such as musical statues.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

All staff establish secure and trusting relationships with children. They get to know their individual personalities and what makes them unique.

This includes fully understanding what they like and dislike. This helps staff plan activities and play experiences that they know children will enjoy. Staff ensure they engage all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Staff encourage children to take ownership of the club. They listen to their ideas and ensure that they feel valued. Children enjoy the company of staff.

For example, they are excited for staff to join in with their games and often want to show off their achievements, such as what they have made and created. Children are determined to win the 'house points' that are given for efforts, achievements, good behaviour, and acts of kindness. Children learn about what is right and what is wrong behaviour and actions.

All children feel confident to communicate and share their thoughts and ideas. For example, they are keen to share what they have been doing at school and are confident to request something during their time at the club. Children enjoy a wide range of games that support their listening and speaking skills and children listen to each other intently.

All children show a high level of respect towards each other. Children enjoy being imaginative. For instance, they are confident to write their own short stories and share them with their friends.

All staff support children to develop a good knowledge and understanding of other people from around the world and outside of their own experiences. Children learn about different festivals and traditions of other countries and religious beliefs. Staff encourage children to share, embrace and celebrate their similarities and differences, such as what type of accommodation they live in or how they look.

The manager and staff evaluate their practice together effectively. At the end of each day, they discuss how well they feel children enjoyed their experiences at the club. They include the children's views in their reflection.

Staff use their findings to support their future practice. The manager highlights she would like to continue to build on the opportunities children have to display their art and creations and build on their sense of achievement at the club even further.All staff establish positive relationships with parents.

They communicate with them at the end of each day. Staff keep parents fully informed about their children's time at the club and at school. This includes sharing what they have enjoyed doing and activity ideas.

Parents speak highly of the staff and would highly recommend to other families.Staff complete thorough risk assessments to help keep everyone at the club safe and minimise any potential risks. Most of the staff team hold a relevant first-aid qualification.

They know how to swiftly manage any accidents that may occur within the setting appropriately.
