The highly effective strategies for sharing information ensure children's learning is fully complemented at the club. Staff spend time setting up the main hall before children arrive to create a welcoming, fun and calm environment. They choose activities very carefully to ignite children's interests and build on their learning at school.

All children engage in activities extremely well from when they start at the setting. Parents say that their children are extremely happy and enjoy spending time at the club. ...Children's personal, social and emotional development is exceptionally well promoted.

Young children are given time to settle into play before they are joined by older children. Older children enjoy the responsibility of caring for younger children and this helps to create a caring and inclusive environment. The very secure key-person system ensures each child receives the highest levels of support from staff.

Most staff hold teaching assistant roles at the host school and they know the children especially well. Children develop secure relationships with staff and other children. They are confident and demonstrate high levels of enjoyment.
