Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The organisation very successfully recruits, vets and retains suitably experienced and qualified staff. The induction programme for new staff is thorough and staff are provided with good-quality training, especially in relation to health and safeguarding. • Children's health, behavioural and emotional needs are very well considered and supported by kind staff.

Younger children are helped to settle in and make friends when they attend for the first time by designated early years trained staff. Older children are extremely kind and caring towards younger children. Behaviour across the age groups is exemplary.

• Children develop new interests and sk...ills as they take part in a good range of well-supervised sporting activities, adventure games and arts and crafts. Children say 'camp is fun'. • Children are not provided with the best possible opportunities to represent and develop their own ideas.

For example, art and craft activities are often focused on children producing an end product pre-determined by staff. Pretend-play areas are not well presented and resourced to challenge and inspire children of school age. • The camp is not well equipped with a great variety of age-appropriate toys to meet children's needs and to fully sustain their interest during the free-play period.
