Managers act on the advice of others, such as other early years professionals, to help improve practice and children's experiences. For instance, they have successfully improved the range of resources offered to help provide a stimulating environment for children to play. Children benefit from staff's good partnerships with parents and other settings they attend.

Staff gather information from other professionals in the school to help provide children with consistent support and good-quality care. Staff keep parents well informed about what they... offer children in the club. Staff are caring and friendly, and form warm bonds with children.

They are sensitive to children's needs and successfully support their emotional well-being. It is not yet outstanding because: On occasion, staff miss opportunities to extend activities children participate in, to help enhance the skills children learn at school.
