It provides education for 683 pupils aged from three to eleven years old, including 64 who attend the nursery class part-time. There are 22 single age classes at the school. The school was last inspected in 2011.

The headteacher took up his post in 2008. The three year average for pupils eligible for free school meals is around 16%. This figure has decreased recently and is now below the Welsh average of 19%.

Around 20% of pupils speak English as an additional language. This proportion has increased notably in recent years. Between them, pupils speak 16 different languages in addition to English, although no pupils speak Welsh as their first language.
