This is a good school Leaders have taken decisive and effective actions to improve the overall effectiveness of Lambs Lane. Leaders know their school well. Leaders use a wide range of information to make judgements about what could be even better.

Leaders have improved the quality of teaching and learning. Teachers know pupils well and planned learning builds on what pupils know and can do. Current pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points.

Pupils behave well in classrooms and around the school. Pupils' personal development is exemplary. Pupils ...are proud of their work and their inclusive school.

The resource base for pupils who have complex special educational needs and/or disabilities is well led. Pupils make good progress from their starting points and achieve well. Children in the early years make good progress and achieve well.

Teachers provide a rich range of learning opportunities for children. Governors are effective. They know what is working in the school and are clear about the ambition they have for pupils and staff.

The attendance of all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities is improving. However, leaders recognise there is more to do. The curriculum is broad and balanced.

However, senior leaders know that subject leaders need to look even more closely at the progress that pupils are making in all subjects. Teachers in the early stages of their career receive detailed induction and support from senior leaders. Leaders have clear plans to ensure teachers continue to flourish.

The school meets requirements on the publication of specified information on its website. The school met the 2015 floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils' attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of Year 6. Lambs Lane is an average-sized primary school.

The school has a resource base for pupils who have complex special educational needs and/or disabilities. Six pupils currently attend the provision, which has 10 places. The proportion of time that pupils spend in their mainstream class varies significantly, according to their individual needs.

The proportion of pupils receiving support through the pupil premium is lower than seen nationally.
