A very clear vision and direction has created an extremely strong set of values and principles.

As a result, the school strives constantly to make sure that pupils reach the highest levels of academic and personal achievement. High-quality teaching and learning mean that pupils make rapid progress and achieve extremely well. Disadvantaged pupils, including the most able, make substantial progress from their starting points.

Pupils have a great deal of respect for others and value those who are different. Safeguarding is strong. Robust systems ensure that safety and care is everyone's business and pervades the school's culture.

Pupils' behaviour is outstanding. They are polite, well mannered and are very welcoming to new children and adults. Pupils' work is assessed well and pupils receive comments that help them to improve their work further.
