The provision does not meet requirements The project coordinator is not familiar with changes to safeguarding legislation. In addition, she lacks a secure understanding of the action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against a member of staff.

Furthermore, her safeguarding policy and procedures do not cover the use of mobile phones and cameras in the scheme. The project coordinator understands the importance of developing strong links with other settings and health care professionals to ensure continuity of care and develop a strong ethos of joint working. She has excellent arrangements to support disabled children and those with special educational needs.

The project coordinator has a sound knowledge of how to provide a range of activities that are linked to children's interests and that complement their learning at school. She understands how this positively supports children to continue to develop their knowledge and skills. The project coordinator confidently discusses how she promotes children's understanding of leading healthy lifestyles.

She has a clear understanding of how to support children's physical development, by offering them opportunities to explore and play outdoors. The project coordinator understands the need ensure a member of staff who holds a current paediatric first-aid certificate is on the premises at all times. The scheme is covered by current public liability insurance.

The project coordinator understands the need for regular self-evaluation of practice in the scheme, to help identify areas for improvement. She discusses how she ensures that records and documents are shared with parents and approaches she uses to gather their comments. There were no children present when this inspection took place.
