This provision is good • Partnerships with parents are good. Staff ensure parents are involved in their children's learning, and share what they know about their development from home. Parents are very complimentary about the quality of care and learning their children receive.

• The manager has implemented a strong key-person system, which benefits children's emotional well-being. Staff understand children's individual needs well, and work closely with parents to offer consistency of care. Children are happy and settled, and behave well.

• Staff are enthusiastic and motivated practitioners who engage children in a wide range of imaginative learning experiences. They car...efully observe and consider children's individual needs. Staff ensure that planned activities support children to develop new skills in all areas of learning.

Children make good progress in their development. • The manager carefully explores professional development opportunities for staff that help continuously to raise the quality of teaching. This supports children to achieve good outcomes.

• Occasionally, staff do not help children to understand what is expected of them when they are on an outing. • Staff do not routinely organise some activities as well as possible to encourage children's self-help skills. • Partnerships with other early years settings that children also attend are not fully secure to help provide greater levels of continuity in children's care and learning.
