Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The provider and the manager have a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities, and have high expectations of staff. They supervise staff closely to help them improve their practice and promote good standards of care and support. Staff encourage children to be physically active.

They create outdoor activities, including ball games and racing games. This helps to promote children's physical development. Children learn about their safety in the club and how to use equipment safely.

Staff are vigilant with regard to safety and potential risks are identified and minimised. Access to the club is overseen by a member of staff, and children ar...e only released into the care of known adults. Partnerships with parents are effective.

Staff take time to talk to parents at the end of the session and share important messages from the class teacher. Parents are happy with the service offered by the club. They express how staff are wonderful and how their children enjoy the play activities offered to them.

It is not yet outstanding because: At times, activities are not extended well enough to ensure children's enjoyment and inspire their interest. Staff do not always give children enough encouragement to join in activities with other children, or fully consider ways to support children who have not yet made friends. Staff do not always support younger children's developing independence.
