Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • Leaders and managers have worked hard to make improvements since the last inspection.

They have effectively increased staff's understanding of safeguarding to ensure they protect children from harm. There are robust systems to ensure accuracy in recording and monitoring accidents and administered medication. • Children are emotionally well prepared for their next steps in learning.

They form strong bonds with friendly and approachable staff, who know them well. For example, the key person uses home visits effectively to gather a wealth of information from parents to help them in initial planning to help children settle. • Staff focus well on engag...ing with parents, especially to support disabled children.

Staff keep parents well informed of children's progress and actively encourage them to share their children's learning at home. Staff provide parents with ideas for learning at home, such as borrowing book bags or attending workshops. • Children benefit greatly from a stimulating, well-resourced learning environment.

They make independent choices from a broad range of experiences, which supports their interests. Children make good progress from their unique starting points. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not consistently use all opportunities to challenge and engage children effectively in their learning, to help them think and explore their own ideas.
