This provision is good • Since the last inspection, the manager and her staff have continued to make improvements to the quality of the nursery. This has had a positive impact on children's learning and development. • Staff work well in partnership with parents.

They gather useful information when children start at the nursery and regularly inform parents about their children's development through daily conversations, to help them support children's learning at home. • Children's communication and language development is supported well. For example, staff engage in interesting conversations with children as they share their ideas.

They repeat key words and phrases, and i...ntroduce new words as children play. • Children feel safe and secure at the nursery. Any first-day nerves quickly disappear and staff engage positively with children to ensure they feel settled.

• Children are making good progress in all areas of learning. They are learning key skills so they are ready for the next stage in their learning when the time comes. • Staff follow children's interests well.

However, at times, they miss opportunities to extend children's learning further and provide them with sufficient challenge. • Staff are vigilant in their supervision of children and alert to potential risks, such as when children use large play equipment in the garden. However, staff do not fully use opportunities such as these to teach children about how to manage risks and safety.
