The provision is good • Leaders are passionate about the effective continuous evaluation of the nursery. They complete quality assurance programmes to think about what they do and why, to achieve improved outcomes for children. • Staff work well with other professionals to help children close any gaps in their learning, including children who need additional support.

Children make good progress from their individual starting points. • Staff have caring, affectionate relationships with children. They get to know them well, by gathering important information about their home routines, interests and needs.

Children are happy, secure and independent. • Leaders and staff moni...tor children's progress effectively and plan for each child's future achievements. They observe and assess children's learning and communicate and share these with parents.

For example, staff have implemented a new digital learning journal to help parents have instant access to their child's information. It is not yet outstanding because: • Systems for overseeing the quality of teaching do not evaluate the impact of staff's practice rigorously enough to raise teaching to a higher level. • On occasions, younger babies do not always have opportunities to learn about electronic technology resources to help them begin to understand how things work and help enhance their learning.
