This provision meets requirements Children start every session at the holiday camp with a group welcome session. They enthusiastically contribute when staff ask about the holiday camp rules, which include 'kind hands, kind feet and kind words'.

Staff remind children to speak to an adult if they are worried or need help. This sets children up for the day and reminds them of the behaviour expected of them. Staff create visual timetables in the entrance to ensure parents and children can prepare for their time at holiday camp.

Children have a lot of fun at the many activities available, including opportunities for self-directed learning. Leaders make excellen...t use of all the amenities available to engage children in a range of experiences both indoors and outside. Children develop their creative, physical and social skills with support from friendly staff.

When children get upset, staff reassure them with a hug and help them reengage with activities. Children form good bonds with staff, who are excellent role models. The children have time to relax, try new experiences, make friends and enjoy their school holidays.
