Pupils flourish emotionally, socially and academically in the nurturing and secure environment that staff have established. Pupils make exceptional progress from their starting points.

Standards are incredibly high in reading, writing and mathematics and in many other subjects. This is the case for all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities and the most able, bar a very small number of most-able pupils in mathematics. Compelling evidence of pupils' academic, sporting and artistic excellence litters the building and testament to the high expectations of staff and pupils' talents.

The impact of teaching and assessment on pupils' mastery and ability to apply key skills, knowledge and understanding across a diverse and captivating curriculum is outstanding. Pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted very well. Pupils are happy, confident and competitive.

They exude ambition and a deep commitment to learning. They behave exceptionally well. They love school and attend regularly.

Safeguarding is highly effective. Parents feel that their children are safe and well protected. The impact of the early years provision is good and improving rapidly.

Children's progress from their starting points is good and the proportion of them reaching a good level of development has risen sharply. As a result, children are well prepared for their transition into Year 1. The next step for the early years provision on its journey to outstanding is to consistently ensure that the most able children reach the high standards of which they are capable.

The outdoor provision also needs improving to the same high standard of the indoors, especially in relation to the opportunities it offers children to develop their writing and language skills. Areas for improvement raised at the previous inspection have been successfully tackled.
