• Managers and staff evaluate the club well. They continually make positive changes and have clear action plans for future development. For example, they plan to raise children's awareness of their environment and involve them in recycling projects.

• Managers have a thorough understanding of their local community and the needs of children within it. They encourage parents and children to be involved in community events, such a...s a pie and pea supper. Parents comment that the club has a 'family atmosphere' and staff know the children very well.

• Staff provide stimulating activities that capture children's interests and engage them successfully. Children enjoy using natural materials to make models of volcanoes. They use their imagination well and share their ideas.

• Staff create a welcoming and friendly environment. Children are keen to talk about how much they enjoy their time at the club. They have strong relationships with staff and each other.
