This provision meets requirements Children are very happy and show they feel safe in the after-school club.

They are excited to arrive and settle very quickly, helping themselves to snacks set up on the tables. They talk about their day and play with their friends. Children demonstrate a strong sense of belonging as they show visitors pictures of previous activities and the displays they have created.

They excitedly recall baking and crafts they have taken part in for special occasions. Children suggest ways to add the thumb prints of children new to the club to their 'club tree' in the hallway.The providers are warm and welcoming, as they offer children c...hoices of games and activities in the well set up environment.

Children choose to play with trains in small groups and to take part in arts and crafts, for example. Some children work collaboratively on large-scale chalk drawings of fireworks outside. They proudly show the providers what they have made.

The providers praise them for their creation and how well they worked together on it.Children are respectful of their environment. They put their litter in the bin provided and tidy up their pens after drawing.

Children follow the rules of the setting and tell visitors about their school's 'Rainbow Values', which they also apply in the club. When younger children need support, for example reminders to use the toilet, the providers patiently and kindly encourage them.
