This provision is good • Staff provide a welcoming and caring environment where children feel safe and valued. Children settle readily and make friends to play with. Their behaviour is good.

• Staff are sensitive to the needs of children. Children listen carefully and respond well to instructions. • Staff work effectively in partnerships with parents and share with them what their children have enjoyed for the day.

• Since the previous inspection, the management team has gained relevant information from the school staff to help them meet the needs and interests of children. The headteacher of Andre Malraux School spoke about the strong relationships that she has establis...hed with the management team and the way they work together to help ensure children's health and safety. • Managers support staff well.

For example, they supervise and give clear guidance to staff to help them strengthen their skills. • At times, staff miss the opportunity to help children manage some tasks themselves so that they become more independent. • Occasionally, some staff act in a supervisory role and do not fully support children's engagement in activities.
