This provision is good • Staff offer a welcoming and nurturing learning environment where children feel safe and secure. They welcome parents and their children when they arrive at the nursery. Children develop a good sense of belonging and community.

Children make good progress in relation to their individual starting points. They are well prepared for the next stages in their learning, including the move on to school. • Partnerships between staff and parents are very strong.

For example, they encourage other parents to share their talents with the children.

• Leaders consistently monitor staff's work and check the quality of the provision, to help ensure that all children achieve well and staff meet their care and learning needs effectively. • At times, staff miss some opportunities to fully extend children's mathematical skills and ability to solve problems independently. • Occasionally, staff do not organise some group activities well enough to help children remain fully interested in learning.
