This provision is good • Children are happy and confident.

They show high levels of emotional well-being. Children are very keen to come into the setting and quickly become involved in activities. Good relationships between staff and children are evident, and children feel safe and secure in the care of staff.

• Staff provide a varied range of good-quality resources to support children in stimulating and challenging activities. Staff support children well in developing their literacy skills. For example, they encourage children to practise writing numbers, letters and their own name, to build on what they learn at school.

• Staff are aware of the importance of k...eeping children safe. Regular checks on the environment help staff to identify and eliminate any potential risks. • Partnerships with parents are good.

Staff exchange information with parents daily, to enable them to be fully aware of children's activities and to provide continuity in children's care. • Staff do not provide the children with the opportunity to think and answer questions to develop their learning. • Staff do not consistently ensure that, during group activities, all children have opportunities to be engaged, involved and motivated so that they do not lose interest.
