This provision is good • Leaders and managers have a good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the setting and take positive steps to address them. They show a strong commitment to continually improving on the good-quality care and learning they provide for children.

• Positive reinforcement and praise from staff help children to understand the rules and boundaries. Children behave well. • Staff are deployed well across the setting.

This provides older children with greater opportunities to choose when to play in the recently upgraded outdoor area. • Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well. Staff work effectively ...with parents and other professionals to meet all children's learning and care needs.

• Partnerships with parents are strong. Staff keep parents well informed about their child's progress and work in partnership with them to meet children's individual needs and extend their learning. This offers children good continuity of care.

• Occasionally, staff teaching during planned activities does not fully promote all children's engagement. Younger children do not consistently understand the intention of the activity and sometimes lose interest. • The monitoring of staff practice is not yet sufficiently robust to ensure that the quality of teaching is consistently of a very high quality across the nursery.
