This provision meets requirements Children are happy and have fun at this welcoming club. They form secure relationships with the kind and caring staff team.

Children engage in a wide range of play activities, which staff thoughtfully plan around their interests and development needs. Staff organise themed days throughout the holidays to help keep activities fresh and exciting for the children that attend. For example, they set up water play outside to help children stay cool in warm weather.

Children work as a team to complete a 'water balloon and spoon' relay race. They display high levels of concentration and carefully pass on the balloon without bursti...ng it. Staff encourage children to develop good coordination skills.

Children aim and throw the water balloons into the designated plastic hoop. They giggle when the balloons burst on the ground.Staff provide children with lots of opportunities to be physically active.

Children bring their bikes and scooters from home. They confidently balance and ride alongside their friends. Staff teach children the importance of riding safely and to follow the rules.

For example, to be careful not to collide with their friends and to always wear their helmets. Children respond well to the rules and understand why they are in place.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

A secure entry system is in place to ensure unauthorised visitors cannot access the play environment.

Staff supervise children well to ensure their safety at all times.The knowledgeable manager strives to deliver an inclusive and high-quality service to all children and their families. She leads her staff team well.

The manager works alongside them on a daily basis. This helps her to effectively monitor their practice. She regularly meets with staff to discuss their well-being and to identify training needs.

Good induction procedures help new members of staff to understand their responsibilities and to familiarise themselves with the club's policies and procedures. Staff attend online training around their interests to improve their knowledge and skills. The staff team speak highly of the manager and state they feel very well supported in their roles.

Staff support children to develop healthy lifestyles. They remind them to wash their hands before mealtimes and provide children with healthy snacks to keep their energy levels up during the day. Children demonstrate good manners.

They say please and thank the staff who prepare their snack. Staff ensure the safe storage of children's food. They refrigerate necessary items from their lunch box.

Children regularly top up their drink bottles and staff gently remind them to drink to stay hydrated.An effective key-person system is in place for young children. When children first begin to attend, staff hold discussions with children and their parents about their likes, dislikes, and preferred activities.

They use this information to meet children's individual needs during their time at the club. Staff plan a variety of team activities and games to promote children's early friendships. This helps children to develop a sense of belonging and feel secure.

Older children are good role models and support their younger peers if they are unsure about anything during their time at the club.Staff share information with parents daily and discuss children's time at the club at drop off and collection times.
