• The staff team know how to plan a wide range of stimulating experiences to engage children in their play. They will allow them to make choices about the activities they want to take part in. • The staff team know how to implement effective procedures and risk assessments to protect children from harm and maintain a safe environment.

• The provider knows how to promote children's ph...ysical health, such as by providing daily opportunities for physical exercise. Children will have access to healthy meals and snacks daily. • The provider understands how to positively manage children's behaviour.

Staff are responsible for giving clear guidance about expected behaviour. For example, children will be encouraged to share, take turns, cooperate and play well together. • The provider implements recruitment procedures that are robust and designed to help to ensure the suitability of all staff.

• Effective procedures are in place, such as training opportunities and regular supervision and team meetings. These provide opportunities for staff to discuss and share their ideas about the club. The provider has a system in place to gain information from parents and children to help self-evaluation.

This supports her to drive improvement in the club's practice in order to raise standards. • The provider demonstrates through discussion the importance of establishing partnerships with school staff to help contribute to children's well-being. There were no children present when this inspection took place.
