This provision is good • Children benefit from a welcoming and nurturing learning environment. The children self-register when they arrive at the setting and develop a good sense of belonging and self-worth. Their behaviour is generally good.

• Staff attend well to the needs of babies. Babies babble happily and learn to handle toys safely. • Staff know how children learn and develop through play.

Children engage well in a range of activities and make good progress in relation to what they knew before they joined the nursery. Staff prepare children well for the next stages in their learning and development. • Partnerships with providers and external agencies are well esta...blished and make a strong contribution to meeting the children's learning needs.

• Managers monitor and evaluate the quality of the provision to help ensure that children consistently receive good-quality care and teaching. • Occasionally, some staff do not organise daily routines well enough to help children remain well focused on the learning. • Staff do not consistently offer many experiences to extend and build on children's understanding and skills in using everyday technology.
