They interact well with each other, building friendships with children of different ages. When planning, staff consider children's individual needs and interests. They have high expectations of children.

Staff are good role models and implement ...clear rules for children to follow, these are linked to the school and provide consistency for children. As a result, children behave exceptionally well. Younger children engage well with the older children and benefit from the kindness and support they show them.

Staff make good use of opportunities to communicate with children and encourage them to answer questions about their school day and personal interests. Staff encourage the children to be independent and to look after their space. For example, children are encouraged to tidy away when they have finished with equipment.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

The owner is enthusiastic about the club and providing inclusive care for the children. He works closely with the manager and staff and together they create a safe and exciting environment for children to explore. Staff are happy and feel supported in their job roles.

Leaders and staff regularly evaluate the club through parent feedback questionnaires and discussions with children. They then use this information when buying new resources and equipment. As a result, children show positive attitudes as they choose from the good range of activities.

For example, at a creative activity, children of different ages discuss what they are making, they proudly show their friends and adults the end results.

In addition, children who want to be physically active have ample time to be outdoors, whether this is playing football, badminton or basketball.
