This provision meets requirements Children are happy and enjoy their time at this calming and engaging before- and after-school club.

Staff develop very positive relationships with children. They are interested in what children are doing and engage in back-and-forth conversations. Staff promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage children to make healthy choices.

They are positive roles models and model the behaviours they expect from children. As a result, children are polite, and their behaviour is very good. Children feel safe and secure, they are confident to ask staff for help.

Staff plan a wide range of activities for children to access freely.... They interact purposefully with children. Staff join in with children's games.

They encourage them to keep on trying when tasks become challenging. Staff offer praise and encouragement as children use a range of tools and materials. For example, staff help young children to use scissors independently.

Children use a variety of resources to create their pictures. They are pleased with their achievements. Children proudly show off their creations as staff take pictures to share with parents.

Gomersal Out Of School Club is run by a private company from the grounds of the primary school it serves. Leaders and managers work closely to ensure children receive the best possible care. They ensure effective policies and procedures are in place.
