This provision meets requirements Children enjoy attending this very welcoming provision. Children are happy and confident. They become fully engaged in their play.
Staff provide a fun and stimulating environment, without electronic devices, where children follow their interests, ideas and creativity. For example, children use a range of military vehicles and characters alongside a tent for imaginative and role-play games. Later, they practise their writing and drawing as they play 'schools', which results in lots of laughter.
Children thoroughly enjoy the highly positive involvement from staff during their games and conversations. Children behave very wel...l. Staff have high expectations for children and follow a consistent approach.
This means that children know what is expected for behaviour. They respond positively when staff remind them about the boundaries. For example, children keep their voices at a suitable level and stay safe by helping to tidy toys away when they have finished with them.
Children cooperate and show respect, kindness and consideration towards one another and the staff. Children benefit from the strong partnership the staff have with the host school. Effective communication results in staff knowing about current topics children are working on.
Staff engage with children during lively conversations about their reading books and animals.

The small staff team is dedicated to the children attending. They carefully consider children's interests and consult with them when they plan activities.
The staff work extremely well together, and this results in a high-quality experience for all children attending. Leaders value the staff and support them to continue to develop their skills through training and completing relevant qualifications.Parents are happy with the provision.
They like how the staff are friendly, approachable and effectively share any messages from school if required. Parents comment on how their children enjoy the wide range of activities provided by staff. They also mention how their children ask to stay at the provision even when care is not needed.
Children show a highly positive attitude to their activities. They are curious about new things and are able to concentrate for long periods of time. For example, children use small beads to make patterns.
They know where to find the beads and where to put their finished patterns. Children are excited for staff to iron the beads together to complete their creations.Children are excited to explore play dough.
They use their hands to squeeze and flatten the dough. They use tools, such as rolling pins and cutters, to make shapes. Children follow their own ideas and spend time enjoying relaxing activities.
Friends work together extremely well. Children ask politely if they can have some different-coloured dough and two children share the cutters very well by passing them across the table to one another.Relationships between the children and staff are highly positive and respectful.
Children and staff listen as they take part in conversations together. At tea time, children talk about their day. Staff show a genuine interest and ask questions to help extend children's thinking.
For example, older children discuss komodo dragons and younger children are curious. Staff help children to describe the creature and extend children's thinking by asking them about their understanding of what a dragon is.Children have opportunities to develop an awareness of healthy lifestyles.
They have a range of healthy food and drinks. Children are hungry after school and eagerly wash their hands before serving themselves with fish fingers and soft bread rolls. They use tongs to serve food, and they pour their own drinks.
Children have regular opportunities to play outside on the school playground and they can rest and relax on the sofas if they are tired after school.Staff are very sensitive towards children's individual needs and promote their emotional well-being. Staff work in partnership with colleagues at the school to share information about the children in their care.
For example, if children need extra support due to identified additional needs or after a difficult day at school, this is provided effectively.
Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Staff have a good awareness when identifying signs of abuse and neglect.
They understand the procedures for recording and reporting any concerns that arise. All staff complete training to keep their knowledge of child protection up to date. Staff supervise children well and carry out thorough risk assessments to promote children's safety.
Two staff take a register when they collect children from school to record all children present. They place themselves at the front and rear of the line as they walk to the setting's premises. The premises are secure so that children cannot leave unsupervised and unexpected visitors cannot gain access.
