Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • The provider and new manager have worked hard to address the issues found at the previous inspection. The manager understands her key roles and she is well organised. Staff effectively implement a range of records, documents and policies.

This helps to promote children's safety and welfare at a good level. • Staff are friendly and approachable. They implement a settling-in process and spend time getting to know children well.

Staff sensitively help children become familiar with the environment. Children are content, comfortable and relaxed while attending. Staff teach each child to be kind and considerate.

Children are polite and behave w...ell. • Healthy lifestyles are suitably promoted. Children access the outdoors every day and take part in a range of team games and physical activities.

• The club has an effective key-person system in place. This helps to ensure that staff provide good support for the youngest children's well-being. Children say they enjoy coming to the club, making new friends and the play experiences on offer.

It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not consistently engage parents and school staff in detailed two-way discussions about the education children receive. This means that children do not benefit from excellent collaboration between all those involved in their development. • Children have few opportunities to learn about different cultures, to support their understanding of diversity and to respect one another's similarities and differences.
