Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The provider has made significant improvements since their last inspection. The manager and staff have addressed the actions raised and have made many improvements across the nursery. The nursery is now good in all areas.

• The manager has embraced opportunities to work with the local authority adviser to enhance professional development and to support staff. This has helped to raise the overall quality of teaching and standards within the nursery. • Staff are highly skilled at teaching mathematics.

They incorporate mathematical language into their questioning and extend learning opportunities to help children explore mathematics in more detail, ...to support their good progress. • Parents eagerly share their views and experiences of the nursery with the inspector. They share that staff go above and beyond to support them and their children at the nursery and at home.

• Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported extremely well and staff quickly identify the areas that they need further support in. Staff work closely with parents and other professionals to maximise the support that is offered to children and their families. As a result, all children make good progress from their initial starting points.

• On occasions, staff do not ensure that all children are consistently and fully involved in the activities on offer. • The new system of staff supervision is in its infancy. It is not yet fully effective to drive improvements in staff practice to the highest level.
