They excitedly greet staff and their friends as they arrive. Staff know children extremely well and understand their interests. There are a wide variety of resources and games available for children.
For example, children giggle in delight as they play games such as nough...ts and crosses with their friends. Children behave extremely well. Staff act as good role models and give children gentle reminders about the rules of the club.
Children learn manners and are respectful towards others. They clearly and confidently express themselves. Children happily share and involve others in their play.
For instance, they enthusiastically challenge friends to a game of table tennis before going outside to play ball games on the field.Children participate in a wide variety of sports activities, including ball games and archery. They show high levels of determination as they practise firing arrows and cheer with enthusiasm when the arrows stick to the target.
What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?
The highly dedicated owner has high expectations for the quality of the club. He seeks the views of parents and staff to help evaluate the provision effectively. The owner demonstrates a clear understanding of the strengths of the club and can identify where improvements could be made.
For example, he plans on improving how he shares information with parents about what their children have enjoyed each day at the club.Staff are attentive to children's needs and help them learn how to keep themselves safe. For instance, they learn about internet safety through regular discussions.
