Children immerse themselves in their learning and are exceptionally well supported and challenged by skilful, knowledgeable staff. Children can lead their own learning. For example, they show fascination with insects.
They engage in meaningful conversations about spiders. Children listen with intent to staff as they learn new facts and are superbly supported to research spiders using reference books. They have meaningful conversations with staff as they learn about bees.
For example, staff pose excellent questions to encourage children's critical thinking as they predict how bees collect nectar. Children show sustained concentration as they watch how bees make honey using the technology provided. They excitedly discuss what they have learned and recall information to share with visitors to the setting.
Children show great wonder in their new knowledge that bees have 'two tummies'.

Parents are extremely appreciative of everything that the nursery offers their children. They speak of the nursery going 'above and beyond' their expectations. They detail how the compassionate staff ensure any concerns or worries are fully supported.
They are grateful for any advice and practical help offered. Parents say their children are eager to attend, have grown in confidence and are making excellent progress in their learning. They talk about the wonderful support and resources available so that they can continue their child's learning at home.
Children demonstrate enthusiasm to learn. Their behaviour is excellent. They show kindness to one another, share resources and take turns.
They are excited to join in group activities and listen to instructions very well. Children learn how to regulate their behaviour and learn new words to explain how they are feeling, as great emphasis is given to their emotional well-being. They are offered fun opportunities to participate in dance and sports activities to further enhance their experiences.
The practice at the nursery is worthy of dissemination. The managers have established positive links with outside agencies involved in the care of the children to ensure a consistent collaborative approach. The managers support new settings in the area and share their excellent practice.
Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Children's welfare is paramount. The managers and staff team give the highest priority to protecting children from harm.
All staff have completed extensive safeguarding training, which includes a wide range of child protection issues. They talk competently about how to report any concerns and the process to follow. They are skilful in identifying any possible signs or behaviours that may suggest children are worried or at risk of harm.
Robust risk assessments are completed daily, and children's understanding of how to stay safe is embedded in daily practice. Children have many opportunities to manage risk safely, fully supported by the staff. Completion of a thorough recruitment, induction and mentoring programme means staff are very suitable for the role.
