This provision meets requirements Children arrive at the club full of enthusiasm.
They are sociable, confident and happy to see friends and members of staff. Children greet visitors with curiosity and talk about their experiences at the club. They show good manners and say, 'You're welcome' to the inspector when she thanks them for talking to her.
Children have a positive attitude to their play. Throughout the session there is a sound of laughter and cheerful chatter. Staff know the children exceptionally well.
Children join in with the challenging and motivating play opportunities that staff carefully plan for them. For example, children thorough...ly enjoy making creations out of the colourful dough. Staff encourage children to solve problems, such as thinking about how to make wings for their 'flying bird'.
Staff excite children when the dough begins to melt on the table from the heat of the day. Children then extend their imaginative skills saying, 'It is like a melting snowman'. All children behave extremely well during their time at the club.
Staff are exceptional role models and have high expectation for children's behaviour. They share the rules and boundaries with children, which are consistent and fair. Staff include children in creating the rules for the club.
They share the rules that 'make their club magical', such as being kind and respecting each other and the resources. Staff praise children for their good behaviour as they play alongside them. This boosts their self-esteem and confidence.
What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?
Children have plenty of opportunities to access fresh air and be physically active. There is a hub of excitement and laughter as children play together in the outdoor space. They show exceptional teamwork as they roll large tunnels and tyres along the ground.
Some children make up their own games, such as hide and seek. Older children remind their younger friends to be safe, for example by telling them how to climb safely or sharing the rules of team games. This supports children's confidence and self-esteem.
Children learn about keeping themselves safe. Their physical and emotional well-being is important to staff. Children confidently share the importance of what to do in hot weather, such as wearing a hat or applying sun cream.
They share that they must drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Outside, they say that they must try and play in the shade to avoid the direct sunlight. Children independently suggest making a paper fan to help cool themselves or a friend when they are hot.
Staff seamlessly support this to happen, by providing them with the resources to make one.Staff encourage children to develop healthy lifestyles. They follow good hygiene routines.
They wash their hands independently before snack and after outside play. Children enjoy a range of healthy foods, such as fresh fruit and vegetables for snack. Mealtimes are sociable occasions for children to sit and chat with their friends.
Older children communicate to their younger friends the importance of eating healthily.Parents speak very positively about the staff team. They share that they go 'the extra mile' to provide enriching experiences for children.
They appreciate how staff ensure that their children feel supported and settled at the club. Communication is clear. Parents comment that staff keep them informed of what their children have been doing.
They say that their children are well cared for and are always happy to attend.The extremely reflective management team have a clear vision for the club. They regularly evaluate the provision to make sure they provide the best possible experiences for the children.
