They know where children are in their learning and, through their purposeful interactions, support children to work towards their individual next steps successfully. Staff positively support children's understanding of the group rules, including how to share resources, manage their feelings and keep themselves safe. • Staff implement robust procedures for administrating medication to children that include gaining prior written permission from parents as required. Staff deployment is effective, and staff vigilantly supervise children to ensure their safety.

• The provider has procedures in place to track individual children's development. However, she has not fully developed monitoring systems to help staff to precisely identify differences in learning and rates of progress between groups of children. • Although the provider monitors staff teaching, she does not use evaluations gained from these observations to inform highly effectively strategies that aim to raise the quality of teaching to the very highest levels.
