What is it like to attend this early years setting?

This provision meets requirements The staff provide a warm and welcoming place for the children to relax in the out-of-school provision.

Children have the option of different activities to stimulate them. For example, children engage in interactive experiences, construction play and drawing. Children are all fully engaged in their chosen activity.

Staff are always checking the children's needs and offering support when needed. Staff also come up with ideas of games where the children can play alongside each other. Children are happy and safe in this environment.

Staff encourage children to be kind towards the other children as there are a range of... ages that attend. Staff remind children of the rules and have high expectations for good behaviour. Children have good manners and are polite to the staff.

In situations where there is more tricky behaviour, staff manage this well and they praise children when they behave well. Staff work closely with parents where needed to help ensure a consistent approach, for example about their child's behaviour. Therefore, the children are learning to behave appropriately even in new situations.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Staff feel extremely supported by the management team. All staff undergo a vigorous safer recruitment process. This also includes the completion of relevant training and on job experience before they start working for the company.

Managers provide their staff with the knowledge and resources to achieve the best for the out-of-school provision.The leadership team and staff have a good relationship with the school. They work together to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children in their care.

The out-of-school provision adopts many of the school's policies and procedures. For example, staff work closely with the school's designated safeguarding leads to help ensure the safety of the children. This is to ensure the safety of the children.

Parent partnership is also strong. Parents are happy with the care provided and say their children love to attend.Staff manage risk well and support children to manage their own risks.

There is a robust risk assessment in place for the out-of-school provision on the school site. Staff also complete daily risk assessments. Staff are aware of how to report accidents and incidents, including prior injury forms.

Staff encourage children to make good choices regarding their health.Staff work together to adapt to children's needs and extra precautions are in place if necessary. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities get the same opportunities as the other children.

Staff ensure that all children are valued and enjoy their experience in the out-of-school provision.Children demonstrate good independence skills and can follow the structure of these sessions. They independently put their belongings away and will go to wash their hands before snack time.

Children transition well from different rooms and activities. Staff ensure children play alongside each other and show respect for one another. For example, children play a board game together and patiently wait for their turn.

Staff promote children's confidence and independence.
