This provision is good • Partnerships with parents are strong.

Managers work very closely with them to ensure they access the support they need to help children to thrive. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good individual progress. • The effective key-person system fully promotes children's emotional well-being and helps them to develop secure and trusting relationships.

• The manager closely assesses and monitors the overall progress that all children make. This enables her to identify any gaps in children's learning quickly. She supports staff effectively in implementing plans to help children to catch up if necessar...y.

• Staff foster children's personal development effectively. Children behave well. They are polite, use good manners and delight in playing alongside other children.

They learn to value and respect others. • Staff are skilled in helping children to gain good communication and language skills. For instance, children who need extra support have small-group time with staff to help develop their attention and listening skills.

• Staff do not take all opportunities to offer further experiences for children to access and develop their skills in using everyday technology. • Although staff receive ongoing supervision, there is scope to develop their professional skills further. For example, staff do not make the most of all opportunities to challenge children at the highest level.
