The leadership team understands its responsibility to promote children's welfare. It knows the procedure to follow if it has concerns about a child or family. nThe registered provider understands the need to provide children with a safe and secure environment and regularly evaluates its effectiveness.

For example, the setting has upgraded the existing CCTV system to enable better supervision of the spaces children use.nThe leadership team ensures that recruitment is rigorous by carrying out effective suitability checks on staff. It considers staff qualifications and skills so as to meet the needs of children it ...cares for through the key-person system and effective staff deployment.

nThe registered provider understands the importance of reflecting on her practice and keeping her knowledge and skills up to date. She considers this for the staff team as well as herself. For example, she plans continual professional development opportunities by using external training and internal staff meetings.

The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation.
