This provision meets requirements Children enter the safe and secure school hall and are greeted warmly by staff.
They settle quickly, following the breakfast club routine of putting their bags away safely and selecting their breakfast. Staff supervise children well as they eat. They remind children to stay sitting while they enjoy breakfast.
Staff chat to children about what they have been doing at home, and what they would like to do next at the club. Staff encourage children to use their manners at the club. When offered breakfast, children reply 'yes please'.
Staff support children to play cooperatively as they are offered games that require t...urn taking and sharing. They enthusiastically congratulate children as they participate. Children respond well to the gentle direction of the staff as they enjoy creating pictures.
Staff encourage younger children to develop their creativity. They ask questions to find out about what children have drawn. Children proudly show them the pictures they have created.
Staff clearly explain the safety rules before children explore the gym equipment available to them. Children understand that they need to listen carefully to keep themselves safe. They explore the equipment available, scrambling up bars and going down the slide.
Children expertly use parallel bars to hang upside down with the encouragement of staff.

The management team understand their responsibilities in ensuring staff engage in regular training. Staff complete a range of online courses before they commence at the club, to give them an understanding of the procedures involved.
This includes completing relevant safeguarding courses, to ensure that the staff have a secure understanding of how to effectively safeguard children in their care.Staff communicate with teachers as they drop children off at their classrooms. They inform them about any messages from home, or occurrences within the club.
This helps to support children to ensure a consistent approach to meeting the children's needs.Staff ensure that children are safe and secure while they are present at the club. Regular risk assessments are conducted, and these are used to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
Staff supervise children well, particularly while they are using the gym equipment and while they are eating.Staff give children choices during the club. They offer a selection of breakfast options and a wide range of activities for children to engage in.
Children understand the routines in place, and talk about how the staff help and support them as they play. They understand that they can talk to the staff if they have any worries they need to share. This helps to build good relationships with the children and staff at the club.
