Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Children develop very good levels of independence and confidence. They behave well and learn to be kind and considerate to other children.

Staff are excellent role models. • Staff's partnerships with parents are well established. Staff share children's achievements daily and provide examples of how to support further learning at home.

This has helped to fully include all parents in their child's time at the pre-school. • The manager is ambitious and works with the provider to continually drive improvements in the quality of children's care and learning experiences. • Staff create a well-resourced indoor and outdoor environment.

Children ...relish opportunities to create and build dens from an array of resources. Although staff have to set up and pack away the setting each day, they embrace the challenges that this brings. • Children explore their local community and have frequent opportunities to learn more about where they live.

Children make regular visits to the community market and benefit from visits from the community police officer. • On occasions, staff do not ensure that shy, quietly spoken children are consistently and fully involved in activities. • The manager does not sharply focus professional development in order to raise the quality of teaching to an even higher level.
