Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Children enjoy their time in this welcoming, positive and stimulating club. They form secure attachments with staff and make good friendships. This helps to promote children's emotional and social development.

• Children's behaviour is very good. All children are polite and respectful of each other. They are consistently kind and caring.

Older children are very mindful of younger ones and make sure that they include them in club activities. • The qualified staff undertake good professional development opportunities to maintain their knowledge of good-quality childcare. They are inspired to gain higher qualifications, to help to update their knowl...edge and benefit the children in their care.

• Children relish opportunities to be outdoors. Staff provide plenty of physical activities and encourage children to be creative thinkers. For example, children are engrossed in a 'bug hunt' and enjoy ball games.

This helps children to gain an understanding of the world in which they live and develop and test their physical skills. • Partnership with parents is good. Staff build trusting bonds with children and their families.

Parents comment that they are pleased with the service provided and staff keep them informed about their child's day at the club. • Occasionally, staff miss chances in challenging younger children in their child-initiated play and in planned experiences to make the most of their own ideas and enhance their independence further. • Information sharing between settings children also attend is not fully effective in supporting continuity in children's experiences and interests between the settings.
