This provision meets requirements Children excitedly enter the setting and are quick to join in with the excellent activities that are on offer. The dedicated staff are there to support children in leaving their parents and making new friendships. The staff plan a range of highly stimulating activities for the children to choose from throughout the day.
Their enthusiasm and passion shines through onto the children. Staff are specialists in performing arts and sport. They motivate children to join in with a range of activities including dancing, sports and arts and crafts.
The holiday club has themed weeks to keep children even more engaged, such as 'Beach'... and 'Nerf' themes. They follow children's interests while ensuring children have limitless fun.Staff promote a healthy lifestyle.
All children participate in physical activity, such as rounders, football and creating new dance routines. Staff talk to children about the importance of healthy eating and keeping hydrated. For example, children make fruit kebabs and have access to fruit for snack times.
Children follow good hygiene routines and understand the importance of this.The provider works very closely with the community. They work together to provide the best opportunities for the children in the local area.
The provider is going above and beyond to support families and make it an inclusive environment. They use additional funding to allow for children to join in with the activities and receive a hot meal. They are ensuring all children get access to new prospects and making a significant impact on the children's lives.
What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?
Management is strong. Managers guide their team to be the best coaches they can be. They deploy their staff well, to ensure a range of specialist coaching and experiences with the different ages and abilities.
The staff undergo regular training and have supervision meetings. Managers support their staff in their development as well as monitoring their well-being. Staff passionately talk about their roles and responsibilities and love working within the team.
The recruitment process is extremely robust along with a very in-depth induction process. Staff are fully prepared to fulfil the high expectations that the management team have for them.Children's behaviour is exceptional.
Staff manage behaviour using a range of techniques, dependent on the age of the children. For example, younger children copy their adult's actions and older children copy a clapping rhythm, both ways get the children's full attention. Children follow the rules with ease and keep themselves safe at all times.
Staff keep the children engaged and praise them for their hard work. Children show respect for each other and are extremely kind. For example, children check on each other's well-being.
Staff seek out quieter children and support them to get involved or will play with them. Staff have high expectations for the children, and they work hard to ensure children are kind, proud and confident.Staff encourage children to take risks and challenge themselves.
For example, children race each other on space hoppers and climb high on climbing walls. They also encourage children to preserve when challenge occurs. For example, when children are learning a new dance routine.
Staff promote teamwork through sports activities, such as football and rounders. Staff help children to further their independence skills by allowing them to have responsibility over their belongings. Children are given the opportunity through these rich experiences to develop their personal skills.
The provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is exemplary. The provider works with the council to ensure the highest standard of care for these children. Staff are highly qualified and trained in SEND.
They follow a structured plan each day to keep children safe and allow them to access a range of suitable activities to stimulate them. They have access to a large range of facilities, such as outdoor playgrounds, quiet areas and growing areas. Every child is getting a wealth of opportunities at this holiday club.
All children feel happy and safe in this environment.Partnerships with parents are effective. Staff communicate well with parents and are fully committed to meeting the needs of the families.
The provider also works closely with the school to guarantee the needs of the children are consistently being met.
