This provision meets requirements Children enter the club happy and excited to see the staff and their friends. Staff provide a relaxing, enjoyable, safe and secure environment for the children to play in after a busy day at school. The exceptional staff plan a wealth of learning experiences that ignite children's interest.
Children are very engaged in their selected activities. They show sustained levels of focus when they play. Children beam with delight as they play a game of chess with an adult.
They concentrate and show resilience as adults teach them the rules of the game. Children eagerly seek out their friends and cheer each other on during a game ...of football. They give each other a 'high five' when they score a goal.
Children create models out of clay, such as a volcano. They enthusiastically discuss with a visitor that volcanoes release 'hot lava' and 'melt things away'.Staff are excellent role models.
Children behave extremely well and demonstrate impeccable manners, such as saying 'please' and 'thank you'. There is a high level of mutual respect throughout the club. Staff frequently tell the children that they are really proud of them.
Children of all ages play well together. They form strong friendships and enjoy each other's company.

They are familiar with the routines of the club. As children arrive, they know to put away their belongings. Staff have a very strong focus on promoting inclusion and help all children to develop a sense of self-esteem and belonging in the club.
Children form trusting relationships with the staff and feel safe and secure.Children are happy to share their experiences with visitors. They tell them that they love coming to the club and enjoy playing with their friends and being outside.
Children comment that they like the food and that the staff are 'very friendly' and 'kind'.Children are physically active. They enjoy much of their time in the garden.
Children have opportunities to run, play ball games or take part in group activities, such as bat-and-ball games and football.The cook prepares fresh and nutritious meals. Staff teach children about healthy lifestyles.
Children fill the room with sounds of happy chatter and laughter as they engage with each other during mealtimes. They have in-depth conversations with their friends. For example, they chat about their day at school and what they are going to play with later.
Staff ensure that children have lots of opportunities to develop their creative skills. They provide a range of materials for drawing and craft activities. Children enjoy the creative activities at the club.
For example, they design their own cork placemats. Staff invite children to explore the clay. Children share their thoughts and ideas with staff on what they are going to model.
They listen to staff as they explain that 'you need to add water to the clay so it does not crack or break'.Children negotiate between themselves when participating in group games. They work together to establish the rules and how they are going to play the game.

Staff continually reflect on their practice to further enhance their already excellent club.Parents speak extremely highly of the club and the quality of care their children receive. They comment that the facilities are 'amazing' and that children experience lots of different activities.

Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
Staff ensure that children's safety is their priority. They have a secure understanding of child protection issues. Staff know how to identify and report any concerns about children to keep them safe from harm and abuse.
They attend regular safeguarding training and keep their knowledge up to date. Staff carry out regular risk assessments and make sure the club is safe and well maintained. They remain vigilant at all times and supervise children appropriately.
The club has comprehensive safeguarding procedures and robust recruitment policies. Managers ensure that all staff are suitable to work with children. Staff are very clear on the procedures to follow should they have a concern about any other person working in the club.
