This allows them to offer tailored support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). • Children are happy and secure in the setting. They develop strong bonds with sta...ff, who they go to for comfort and reassurance when they need it.

Children have fun and enjoy their time there. Staff plan play activities based on the children's interests. They regularly assess children's progress and use the information to plan for what they need to learn next.

• Occasionally, staff miss opportunities to encourage children to develop their early writing skills. • At times, the organisation of the snack time routine is not fully effective. As a result, some children miss out on opportunities to be independent and socialise.
